350 PPM!? (w/ Emory Environmental Alliance) September 15, 2009

Filed under: National and Global Environmental Groups — genresp @ 7:54 am

350 represents a scientific theory about the level of atmospheric carbon in parts per million that our planet should maintain. We are currently at 390, but can work down to 350 and hope for a healthy planet (well a planet humans can live comfortably on) again. In the name of this cause Emory Environmental Alliance is going to have a light bulb retrofit on main or Clairmont campus on October 24th at 6pm. Our goal is to switch out 350 incandescent light bulbs for CFLs in campus residential rooms and educate residents about 350 simultaneously. Then we are going to take a picture that represents our efforts, send it in, and hopefully help convince those in Copenhagen that the public is behind 350. Go to 350.org to learn more.
